SABRATEC ApplinX serves as an enterprise legacy integration infrastructure, and conforms to the organization standards in legacy sources platforms, server environment, web server or application server selected, front-end standard, and security.
ApplinX Server is a pure Java technology and can be deployed in any platform such as: Solaris, RS/6000, Microsoft Windows, Linux, AS/400 and any other machine that is J2EE compliant or can run a Java Virtual Machine.
ApplinX can support different host systems like: IBM OS/390, AS-400, UNISYS, Hitachi, Fujitsu, as well as a unique solution to bridge over the character-mode UNIX VT applications.
ApplinX adopts the XML standard both internally and externally. ApplinX automatically transforms the host entities into XML documents and structures, and those documents are then transformed into one of the following standards:
- XML documents according to new DTD specifications, that can then be transformed into any selected UI using standard XSL tools.
- COM objects to be implemented in Microsoft web and application environments.
- Java Beans to be implemented in J2EE based environments (web servers and application servers).
- XML data-binding Java classes that allow easy object-based access to XML documents.
ApplinX includes two web application frameworks (ASP and JSP), and templates for XML, COM and Java objects for quick generation of ACOs (ApplinX Composite Objects) that seamlessly utilize business processes in any environment.
The frameworks serve both as a ready-to-run fully functional web application based on the host application, and as an advances starting point to further web applications, that are limited only by the capabilities of the development environment selected (ASP, JSP, etc.)
The object model concept enables the developer to implement the new application in any development environment on the Web, or any other server environment, as the object structure is a standard set by industry consortiums.
Using the object model architecture, the new application utilizes the strength of the existing transaction engines, alongside the flexibility of its business logic and existing technology implementation.
