ApplinX is an advanced legacy integration infrastructure server and development suite for enterprise mission critical applications.
With ApplinX Server, application frameworks, and standard development tools, enterprises can plan, deploy & maintain advanced modern applications (e.g. intranet/internet applications) in a short time & cost efficient way, by adopting the XML, COM, or Java application standards.
Product overview
ApplinX Infrastructure Server enables organizations rapid development of new e-business applications and on-line services for the Web or other enterprise platforms, based on existing legacy sources. ApplinX lets the developer create new XML documents, standard programming objects (COM, Java) and Web compliant business logic and interfaces, while maintaining the existing reliable transaction engines, which have been well debugged and tested as the enterprise legacy assets.
This way, a totally new application can be created from several host applications and various resources such as databases and external objects. The object model ensures that the new application can be implemented on any desired "channel device", such as desktop PC, Web browser, mobile devices, B2B platforms, CRM applications, or any standard future environment.
The general concept of ApplinX is illustrated in the following diagram:
ApplinX is a strategic infrastructure for the enterprise: it is cross platform (Java), standard, flexible (XML and object driven), and supports both front-to-back and back-to-front solutions:
- Exposing, enhancing, and extending host applications to modern environments.
- Integrating host application or other legacy assets to CRM, IVR, etc.
- Creating web services, or other enterprise services, based on legacy sources.
- Componentizing legacy assets and workflows as a basis for the organization's migration strategy.
Using a quick and intuitive interface, ApplinX generates and manages XML documents and standard programming objects (COM, Java) from the existing legacy sources. These objects reflect various source entities - from database calls, fields and application screens to complete host transactions, and can then be used while building a new application on a modern platform, or when integration of legacy assets into an existing enterprise environment is needed.
Moreover, the separation of integration resources into tiers with ApplinX serves as a componentization paradigm of the enterprise legacy resources, and as the first step towards a seamless migration strategy.
